We are a service company that offers both technical and social products and services for urban operations primarily in oil and natural gas. Position Description:
Urban Solution Group is looking for a Financial Coordinator to assist with a variety of responsibilities that range from basic accounting support (oversight) to providing data analysis to support business planning and decision making. This role will collaborate with all departments internal to Urban Solution Group and the ideal candidate will be hard working and able to perform in a high paced environment while having fun! The Urban team is a family with the understanding that we help each other as needed until the job gets done.
Job duties consist of but are not limited to:

Planning, directing and coordinating all accounting operational functions

Coordinating the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results

Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements
-
Coordinating activities of external auditors and internal work associated with audits

Overseeing cashflow management
-
Monitoring all transactions and prepare appropriate reporting for same
-
Overseeing chart of accounts
-
Providing management with information vital to the decision-making process
-
Contributor to budget forecasting
-
Responsible for budget comparison to actuals and variance analysis
-
Coordinating pricing analysis for management for all customer/vendor procurement negotiations and evaluations
-
Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes
-
Evaluating accounting and internal control systems
-
Overseeing regulatory reporting, including tax planning and compliance
-
Oversight of payroll prep and execution by payroll service company
-
Responsible for coordination and implementation of employee benefits
-
Contributing to vendor contracts and compliance management
-
Conducting thorough job cost analysis for all customer projects and vendors
-
Developing analysis and reporting capabilities
-
Interpreting data, analyzing results using relevant statistical methods and provide ongoing reports

Acquiring data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
-
Identifying, analyzing, and interpreting trends or patterns in complex data sets
-
Working with management to prioritize business and information needs
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business or related field
-
Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience
-
3+ years of professional experience in business analysis or comparable analytics position

Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
-
Work ethic based on a strong desire to exceed expectations

Advanced analytical skills and an ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment

Can build and manage models for problem-solving, variance analysis, and business forecasting

Excellent at executing administrative and clerical functions independently and efficiently
-
Detail oriented

Superior communication and presentation skills, written and oral
-
Proven working experience as an analyst
-
Knowledge of all aspects of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
-
Well-versed in all aspects of financial management ranging from simple accounting banking operations and reporting
-
Be capable of monitoring existing metrics, analyzing data and independently driving business change
-
Have relevant technical experience to analyze complex datasets
-
High proficiency in Excel
